ABOUT ME

My Story

As I was growing up, the oldest of 5, and the only girl, I always felt I was a nurturer and wanted to help others in any way I could. I saw myself as doing something in the medical field and my other goal was to be a mother.
I had a wavy, convoluted road to where I am now. After high school, I went to college to study medical laboratory technology and got engaged along the way. Instead of finishing college I married, moved to a foreign country to support my husband's career, and started a family. I have been blessed with 4 children and was able to stay home with them while they grew up.

When I became an empty nester I felt it was my time to expand my horizons.
After living in 3 countries, 3 provinces, and 2 states, I have settled down, at least geographically. I have since gone back to college where I studied EMS, I was a volunteer EMT and worked as a paramedic for a number of years. I have seen much suffering and death along the way. I no longer work in the field of EMS but continue to teach CPR and first aid to those who wish to learn and get certified.

While I worked as a paramedic, I started nursing school for my RN.  I completed my courses for my RN but decided against licensing as an RN. I had no desire to work in a hospital or in the mainframe of traditional healthcare.  I started using essential oils and did some research for myself.

I again decided to go back to school, this time for certification as a functional nutrition counselor and iridologist.
It is my sincere hope that I can help others as I have been helped.

My own health experience has been eventful as well. I had visited so many doctors but was never given any clear answers to help. I have been given diagnoses such as fibromyalgia, psoriasis, and psoriatic arthritis but none of those diagnoses gave me help or ways to make me feel better.
Along came the idea of looking at the root causes of disease and not just the branches aka symptoms. What an eye-opener and how it has helped!

God willing I will be able to help others as I have been helped.
